Ai-Lin Chen: Musician
​and Chief Financial Officer

Bio:
Ms. Ai-Lin Chen is a native of Taiwan.  She has lived in various locations up and down the East Coast of the United States and has lived in Pittsburgh for the last 20+ years. 
Ms. Chen is a graduate of Florida State University, with a BA in Music (piano), BS in International Business and a MA in Arts Administration with a Graduate Certificate in World Music.  She served as the Director of the FSU Chinese Music Ensemble during her graduate study until her relocation to New Jersey.  She is currently pursuing her 2nd Master’s degree in MBA from Duquesne University.  She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity and Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society. 
Ms. Chen has worked in the Telecommunications industries for the last 22+ year and worked in various functions and capacities.  She is currently a Finance Manager for Comcast Cable.  
She is a long-term advocate for diversity and inclusion and is currently a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council and Women’s ERG.  Ms. Chen is also spearheading the formation of the first Asian Pacific American ERG in the Division in which she serves.  
Her other passion is in sustainability and has been a member of the Sustainability Council for the last 2+ years and in her personal life, true to the goal of sustainability, she has been an organic gardener and practiced clean living for the last decade and more.
In addition, Ms. Chen is the Director of Purple Lotus Guzheng Studio.  In that capacity, Ms. Chen performs in various venues and events in the Greater Pittsburgh area as a soloist, with her students, as well as a founding member of the Purple Bamboo Chinese Music Ensemble.  She also teaches Chinese traditional music and Chinese language.
Ms. Chen believes strongly in giving back and continues to volunteer her time and services in many non-profit organizations, such as Art and Inspiration International, Pittsburgh Chinese Cultural Center, and Women in Cable Technology.   Ms. Chen also volunteers as a mentor with the Big Brother and Big Sister organization for the last 8+ years.  
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 children, gardening, reading, writing fiction/poem/music, painting, cooking, baking, cake decorating, sewing, flower arrangement, photography, and many other creative pursuits that inspire her.
